Kids need to eat well in order to grow and develop properly. Schools can play an important role in fostering healthy eating habits for student if parents, students, school boards, teachers and health professionals all work together.

BC Dairy Foundation, in partnership with the British Columbia Ministry of Health Services and the Knowledge Network have developed the following resources to help you get started:

Making It Happen - Video Resource
This video addresses three areas of concern for schools: Fundraising, Vending Machines, and School Nutrition Policy in action. Each segment is approximately 5 minutes in length. The video segments were developed to inspire your school or school district to make healthy changes.

The Action Kit includes a School Assessment Tool and a separate page of ideas for action for every member of the school community: parents, teachers, administrators and students. To order your free kit click here.

Making it Happen - Online Resource
